"Your challenge is not to keep trying to repair what was damaged; your practice instead is to reawaken what is already wise, strong and whole within you; to cultivate those qualities of heart and spirit that are available to you in this very moment."
- W Muller
I do not presume to teach men how to be men. I point them to learning and growing men whose teachings and lives I consider worthwhile. These are some of the individual men I have had the privilege of experiencing, appreciating, learning from, listening to, and whose words I recommend.

Security
"There is no real security except in the consistent adherance to principle.
We cannot succumb to the pressures of the moment by stepping off the rock of principle."
Elder D Todd Christofferson
Said of D Todd Christofferson:
"He was the recipient of many questions which he fielded with his trademark grace, humour and good judgement.
With uncommon, understated, eloquence and precision he has given inspired counsel on many gospel topics."

Properly Led
"Properly led, they endured incredible hardship, often without pay, without proper clothing, without proper food... 'It still rests with them to complete my wishes by adopting such a system of Policy as will ensure the future reputation, tranquility, happiness and glory of this extensive Empire.' The man is all in that passage - his humility, his pride, his sense of honour, his vision..."

A Man...
"A Man is more than his wallet.
Providing is more than providing dollars and cents.
We are learning to see the more in the less.
"In not having a radio in our car - the less, we had a seven hour conversation with our children - the more..."
Identify what it is you want to accomplish as a family.
Look at the different areas of your life - "How can we accomplish what we want?"
Begin the process of making counter-cultural decisions.
Let go of peer-pressure.
Make daily decisions along your way to what your family wants.
Let God call the shots - ask Him "What is it You want me to do?"
Invite conversations with your spouse.
Don't drive your decision on the others.
Have the attitude... "Here's what I am willing to do... How can you join me?"
"Living with Less so Your Family Has More"
